The Principal Mineral approach
In 2024, the Department of Defense flagged the imminent closure of Denkai America Inc., then owned by a Japanese conglomerate. Within eight weeks, Principal Mineral acquired and relaunched the facility as Camden Copper, preventing a critical supply chain failure and securing economic opportunity and manufacturing jobs in Camden, South Carolina.
